Born pretty store review **Tons of photo's**

I love born pretty, period. They have some amazing products! Lately I've been doing my hair more oft en, usually I just straighten my hair and have a nice 'natural' ombre look... aka, I'm to cheap and lazy and let my hair grow out hah. It doesn't look bad per say but ...yeah whatever.
Anyways now, onto my review! I bought a bunch of hair accessories from www.bornprettystore.com and here they are! I bought all these with my own money, they are all such a reasonable price too!

First we have this beautiful flower clip, you can choose from a few colours, i decided on this blue and green clip and I love it so much! This hair pin is so sparkly, the large green gems are a rich emerald green and the blue stones are an amazing granite. You'd never guess that this was under 6 dollars!

I decided to put a comparison picture of the size of this clip, since it is a bit bigger than I thought originally. This is a full size China Glaze Nail Polish (in re-fresh mint).

Look at the beautiful design on the back! It also has some decorative engraving on the inside of the clip!

The second piece I chose is a pink / purple peacock pin... now I didn't notice this when I was ordering, but I ordered a few peacock hair accessories, you will understand by the end of my review! hah, I have like 6 peacock hair accessories LOL Anyways, same as the flower clip above, this peacock is so sparkly and beautiful!! It doesn't look cheap at all!

Here is another comparison picture, This hair pin is slightly smaller than my palm and is significantly smaller than the flower above.

Please ignore my finger splint - I am hoping to get it off soon =]

This is the third hair clip that I bought, This one is a rainbow, it's smaller than the flower, but bigger than the peacock pin above. I am missing one of the head feathers, and actually didn't notice until now... I might have a nail wheel gem that can go there.. but I'll have to check that out later.. other than that, there isn't any flaws. It's very pretty.

There is a butterfly hair pin, You can't really tell what it is, and it's not as nice as the other pins.. but it is still nice. I think it would be better when it's actually in your hair, but I will let you guys know later.
As you can see, it's quiet longer than the nail polish container... which may be a problem when it's in your hair.. Unless you have black hair it'll probably show.

Now, this clip is probably my favourite - no wait it is! Followed very closely by the blue flower! This one doesn't have any missing gems and has such an amazing sparkle! Like seriously guys - all these are so sparkly!! They seem real! This clip is like a barrette I think - it isn't a snap back per say, but is... does that even make sense?

Here is a comparison, it's the same size of a china glaze bottle =]

Kay, well here is the photo of the back I'm so prepared =]

Here is the last hair piece I'm going to show you today. I am sadly not impressed with this bow, it looked so cute on the site, but frankly it's flimsy and you can't really make out what it is. It is also not even... one side is big, the other side is small.. I think this would be cute on, but I haven't tried it yet.

As you can see it's HUGE! Look at the comparison picture.... it's like three times larger than the bottle!

How here is the last item, I'm going to show you today, it's actually a necklace not a hair piece but it's so cute! I couldn't no show you.

Now this necklace doesn't look too big, but it's actually quiet large! Want proof? Well here it is beside a bottle of China Glaze! and it's the same size! It's a really nice bronze colour and isn't that heavy despite it's size. It's a beautiful dangle necklace that I can't wait to wear =]

I hope you guys enjoyed my first review post ever!! I bought a few more items but really, this took me about 4 hours to write on my tablet between taking the photo's and getting them on here... that I'll have to do another post to finish the rest off... I am very happy with my purchases and reccomend others to buy from them too!

It took a lot longer to ship here than it usually does, (2-3 weeks) this time it did take almost 2 months, but it is coming from China.. So it's expected.

Black French Tip - Blogger Inspired.

Today I have a really cute manicure that was inspired by Chloe's Nails - Funky French - Look how cute this is! It's way nicer than mine, and I shouldn't even be showing you guys this, seeing as mine looks sort of cruddy beside hers, but alas - you must all check out her blog! (and she's back from a long time away!)

I love this manicure, and no joke - I tried doing this all weekend. I had two polish parties with my girlfriend's and wanted a bit more of a subtle manicure so I used a sheer pink from Revlon.. and I tried so many times (probably about 7 times, about 2-4 layers per time. I could have easily used 1/5 of this polish that I JUST bought!) and the polish wouldn't dry!! Not with Rapid Dri, not with a Fast drying top coat, and not by playing the waiting game.. Each time, I would look down and it was like they magically smudged, nicked, or pushed up.. So finally, after battling this one polish - which I'm going to have to find out the name for you guys, seeing as it was a pain to apply.. I finally decided I hated the polish, and didn't want to do this manicure so I gave up and did a foil manicure - which I will show here tomorrow. It was sort of a fail too, but whatever! Hah, it was my first time. More on that later..

Then last night I decided I wanted to try this manicure again, I wasn't kidding when I said I love it! So Instead of using that stupid polish, I used China Glaze something sweet. and it worked out great! Are you all ready to see my interpretation of this manicure?!?!
I squared my nails off this weekend, and it took some length off. I love thick tips for french manicure, but this kind of made my nails look a little chubby, but it's still cute..
Also I am a little sad, Although it doesn't show up in real life that badly, I didn't clean up this manicure at all, and it really shows in the photo's =[

Purple Verticle Striped

This is my most recent Mani, I did three like colours vertically, which elongated my nails =]
For these colours I used a recent Julep polish, which I forget the name of and also two color clubs, Something sweet and also grape pop!

I really love how this turned out, even though you can only really see two colours on the nail.

Please ignore the wear and tear, I wore this mani for three days before I took a picture! Eek, Sorry!

Weekend Polish's

Hey guys,
So I did my nails a few times over the weekend, and I didn't find my charger - but I did figure out how to use my phone a wee bit better! What does that mean? My photo's are not as atrocious!

I am still getting though the Wicked Sweet Collection by Color Club and this weekend I did I Always Get My Man-darin - It had such a nice green shimmer in it! Also it smelt like Trix cereal that I used to eat a lot of as a kid. This photo isn't that great - but here it is. I found out I had my brightness maxed.. Pfft.

I also put Wicked Sweet on my niece, I loved the colour, and the smell (I literally walked around with her just so I could smell it!) It was a nice blueberry? smell. and the colour was way nicer than I thought it would be! I don't have a photo because it was my nieces first time with nail polish on, and she got scared and took it off =[

I also put on China Glaze Pool Side Collection Flip Flop Fantasy. I LOVE this colour, I even spiced it up with some glitter (Starry Tempess by ColorClub) I put three layers on to make sure the colour was as true to the bottle as possible. Sadly, I think I made it a tad too thick - as I only wore it for one day and it's already ruined.. Chipped everywhere.

Also again, sorry for the mess - does anyone know where I can find pure actetone? I've been looking everywhere and can't find it. Nail polish alone is so hard to fix nail polish mistakes with. Lately my skin has been so raw from always scrubbing it with polish remover.

Also, I've learned glitter polish - so hard to get off, average take off time for glitters is about 30-40 mins!! (need pure acetone!)

Have a good day guys!

First Blog Post EVER

This is my very first blog ever! I'm not quiet sure how I should even talk on here, but I'm going to take this for a test drive.

I recently have become fascinated with blogs, and nails! After looking at a few of the best blogs I could find for a few months, I decided I have time on my hands - I should try this blogging thing out. So here I am.

Please mind my mediocre photo's - as I lost my charger for my Canon xSi camera.. Figures - always losing things! So for now, I am using my camera phone, in artificial light! Hopefully they come out looking decent for you all to see.

I think I will be focusing on swatches of polish, maybe some konad, and faux konad products, and maybe some fun art - but don't count on much of the latter - seeing as I can't draw. hah.

Well, I guess here we go! The launch of my new blog, Appealing Polish! Hope you all enjoy!

Here is my first french manicure ever! I free handed it so it's a little sloppy, please forgive me. I used China Glaze poolside collection. From left to right Kiwi Cool-Ada, Sun Worshiper, Towel Boy Toy, Yellow Polka Dot Bikini and lastly Pool Party.  The applications for these were pretty good for a manicure, I used two coats and I thought that Pool Party, Towel Boy Toy, and Kiwi Cool-Ada went on the best.

Ignore my ugly cuticles and my wrinkly hands, but here is another picture.

Sadly I only have 5 figures so Flip Flop Fantasy was cut, just because I wanted a vibrant hot pink, and not a really a coral colour.. but no fear, I will incorporate Flip Flop Fantasy soon!

Until next time - farewell
