Born pretty store review **Tons of photo's**

I love born pretty, period. They have some amazing products! Lately I've been doing my hair more oft en, usually I just straighten my hair and have a nice 'natural' ombre look... aka, I'm to cheap and lazy and let my hair grow out hah. It doesn't look bad per say but ...yeah whatever.
Anyways now, onto my review! I bought a bunch of hair accessories from www.bornprettystore.com and here they are! I bought all these with my own money, they are all such a reasonable price too!

First we have this beautiful flower clip, you can choose from a few colours, i decided on this blue and green clip and I love it so much! This hair pin is so sparkly, the large green gems are a rich emerald green and the blue stones are an amazing granite. You'd never guess that this was under 6 dollars!

I decided to put a comparison picture of the size of this clip, since it is a bit bigger than I thought originally. This is a full size China Glaze Nail Polish (in re-fresh mint).

Look at the beautiful design on the back! It also has some decorative engraving on the inside of the clip!

The second piece I chose is a pink / purple peacock pin... now I didn't notice this when I was ordering, but I ordered a few peacock hair accessories, you will understand by the end of my review! hah, I have like 6 peacock hair accessories LOL Anyways, same as the flower clip above, this peacock is so sparkly and beautiful!! It doesn't look cheap at all!

Here is another comparison picture, This hair pin is slightly smaller than my palm and is significantly smaller than the flower above.

Please ignore my finger splint - I am hoping to get it off soon =]

This is the third hair clip that I bought, This one is a rainbow, it's smaller than the flower, but bigger than the peacock pin above. I am missing one of the head feathers, and actually didn't notice until now... I might have a nail wheel gem that can go there.. but I'll have to check that out later.. other than that, there isn't any flaws. It's very pretty.

There is a butterfly hair pin, You can't really tell what it is, and it's not as nice as the other pins.. but it is still nice. I think it would be better when it's actually in your hair, but I will let you guys know later.
As you can see, it's quiet longer than the nail polish container... which may be a problem when it's in your hair.. Unless you have black hair it'll probably show.

Now, this clip is probably my favourite - no wait it is! Followed very closely by the blue flower! This one doesn't have any missing gems and has such an amazing sparkle! Like seriously guys - all these are so sparkly!! They seem real! This clip is like a barrette I think - it isn't a snap back per say, but is... does that even make sense?

Here is a comparison, it's the same size of a china glaze bottle =]

Kay, well here is the photo of the back I'm so prepared =]

Here is the last hair piece I'm going to show you today. I am sadly not impressed with this bow, it looked so cute on the site, but frankly it's flimsy and you can't really make out what it is. It is also not even... one side is big, the other side is small.. I think this would be cute on, but I haven't tried it yet.

As you can see it's HUGE! Look at the comparison picture.... it's like three times larger than the bottle!

How here is the last item, I'm going to show you today, it's actually a necklace not a hair piece but it's so cute! I couldn't no show you.

Now this necklace doesn't look too big, but it's actually quiet large! Want proof? Well here it is beside a bottle of China Glaze! and it's the same size! It's a really nice bronze colour and isn't that heavy despite it's size. It's a beautiful dangle necklace that I can't wait to wear =]

I hope you guys enjoyed my first review post ever!! I bought a few more items but really, this took me about 4 hours to write on my tablet between taking the photo's and getting them on here... that I'll have to do another post to finish the rest off... I am very happy with my purchases and reccomend others to buy from them too!

It took a lot longer to ship here than it usually does, (2-3 weeks) this time it did take almost 2 months, but it is coming from China.. So it's expected.

My ouchie! - Graphic Photo**

Hey guys,
So I was meaning to post my nail foil fail but never got around to it as my other half's family came to visit. When they left - I then decided I would post it next time I got by a computer. Sadly, the most horrific thing ever happened! Okay, maybe not the most horrific...but pretty damn close! At least for me!

On Sunday I was cutting a 1/2 frozen english muffin when I cut myself on my left hand. Now when I say cut myself, I don't mean a little cut, I mean like full blown to the bone - or so I thought..

I went to a Medicenter which was suppose to stitch me up in no time, in and out in an hour or two... but nope.. I waited about 2 hours to have them tell me that I infact did a lot more damage that first thought.. I cut right through my joint capsule - hit part of my tendon and nicked my nerve. FABULOUS!

So then the medicenter had to send me away to the hospital.. =[ and even worse, I had to see a hand surgeon =[ You guys don't know this about me - but i'm terrified of surgery, or being opened up or...blah anything like that!!

I was already panicing, but now... fml.

In the end, this is what I looked like - this picture isn't *so* gorey - so I'll post it =[ I haven't been able to do my nails in almost a week. I am still wearing this nail polish that I did 10 minutes before it happened. (Which is Color Club Take me to your Chateau and Revlon Whimsical)

** warning photo below**

In the end I got 9 stitches, 4 internal, 5 external. When the surgeon left I was told by the assistant nurse that he really should have put more in... uhh, please don't tell me that! LOL

So I am still sometimes bleeding even a week later =[ proof that I needed more than 9 stitches.

Wish me well!! please =]

Here is me making a sadface =[ after 10 hours in ER =[

Black French Tip - Blogger Inspired.

Today I have a really cute manicure that was inspired by Chloe's Nails - Funky French - Look how cute this is! It's way nicer than mine, and I shouldn't even be showing you guys this, seeing as mine looks sort of cruddy beside hers, but alas - you must all check out her blog! (and she's back from a long time away!)

I love this manicure, and no joke - I tried doing this all weekend. I had two polish parties with my girlfriend's and wanted a bit more of a subtle manicure so I used a sheer pink from Revlon.. and I tried so many times (probably about 7 times, about 2-4 layers per time. I could have easily used 1/5 of this polish that I JUST bought!) and the polish wouldn't dry!! Not with Rapid Dri, not with a Fast drying top coat, and not by playing the waiting game.. Each time, I would look down and it was like they magically smudged, nicked, or pushed up.. So finally, after battling this one polish - which I'm going to have to find out the name for you guys, seeing as it was a pain to apply.. I finally decided I hated the polish, and didn't want to do this manicure so I gave up and did a foil manicure - which I will show here tomorrow. It was sort of a fail too, but whatever! Hah, it was my first time. More on that later..

Then last night I decided I wanted to try this manicure again, I wasn't kidding when I said I love it! So Instead of using that stupid polish, I used China Glaze something sweet. and it worked out great! Are you all ready to see my interpretation of this manicure?!?!
I squared my nails off this weekend, and it took some length off. I love thick tips for french manicure, but this kind of made my nails look a little chubby, but it's still cute..
Also I am a little sad, Although it doesn't show up in real life that badly, I didn't clean up this manicure at all, and it really shows in the photo's =[

Julep Natalie

It seems like I've been wearing a lot of julep polishes lately. Well it's true, even though I'm not a major fan of Julep, and their polish isn't very original, I don't have many polishes like them - so I don't mind their 'lack of creativity' as some blogger would say.

The reason I chose this polish is because I am wearing this really cute sweater (shown left) that I bought from Esprit last week during their closing sale (YAY 70% off!). and was hoping that this was a coral and would match the coral / orange in the sweater - but sadly, it's a bright pink with no orange undertones. No worries though.. it's still cute.

My main polish idea was actually the deep berry pink in the sweater - but I didn't have time to look though all my colours this morning to make a match - so I picked this one and was on my way out the door. I am still taking photo's with my camera - mind you I upgraded my phone so my camera is better but I still don't get many natural light shots like I did today.

Here is the bottle, and bottle colour. I am pretty proud of myself I am getting it pretty colour accurate. The only difference is that my nails are a smidge warmer than the actual colour, which is a bit more neon. The colour is accurate though.. (does that make sense??)
I don't have a top coat or a base coat since I did it quickly on my break =]

Also, please don't mind the blog looking different everyday, I am trying to figure out how I like it so it doesn't look so cruddy. HA HA so please bear with me. Thanks for stopping by <3

Diagonal French Tips

I love this Mani!! I wore a few days! The top photo I took just to show the holographic goodness! Although it's not really true to colour (Like the image below!)

For this Mani, I used Julep Jamie, which I LOVE the colour, but it was such a pain to apply... The formula was so thick that with one layer (as pictured) it would flood my cuticles, become thick and uneven and also take forever to dry.. that was even with wiping the brush off on the side of the bottle a hundred times, Yikes. Also, I got polish everywhere because of the awkwardly long brush that comes with julep polishes.. =[

(This photo is true to colour)

After waiting about 15 minutes for my top coat to dry, and spritzing some OPI Rapid Dri spray - I did a little bit of tape manicuring and topped the tips off with the beautiful Milani Cyberspace. OMG I LOVE THIS COLOUR! It's beautiful!! I bought this polish about 7 months ago, and haven't used it until now.. and I greatly regret that desicion.

In fact, I loved this mani so much, I did it on my toes too! Only I did it with purple, I used yet another Julep polish (Anne and Hi-Res. I will have to do it on my nails and take a photo. Seriously amazing.
